Immobiliser issue

I'm looking at buying a 2007 Chrysler Grand Voyager with an immobiliser issue. 4 weeks ago the car wouldn't start and the AA were called out and said it was a suspected immobiliser problem. The immobiliser light stays on when key inserted. On the faulty car there are 2 keys and both can be read. Would it be possible to take the key, barrel, transponder, immobiliser, and ECU from a working donor car of the same model and swap over to get the car running? Is this a straight plug and play affair?
