Death of Driving in Sunday times ?
Discussion
I settled down to my favourite Sunday past time to read the Sunday times skipped all the world shattering news and features on trumps hair colour to find the Driving section. Relegated to The magazine section, I skipped through to find it in its usual place after food reviews , must have missed it searched again perhaps it had its own section no, perhaps in another edition, no. So I contacted the Sunday times chat as I was sure it must be somewhere. After 5 minutes of searching Jamie agreed it was not there, after another wait this is what he said "The driving section was reduced to make room for other content in direct response from our subscribers and readers" I pointed out that it had not been reduced it was removed I got the same answer back. Can readers of the Sunday times Driving that have requested they drop the driving section in preference of articles on how will Lyons keeps quaffing or Blogger Belle Gibson fooled the world with healthy eating please come forward
For those like me who are devastated at the possible removal of Driving please let the times know

Probably reflects a drop in advertising revenue on cars. That's what catalyses most of those weekend supplements: a framework for ads. For those like me who are devastated at the possible removal of Driving please let the times know

Utterly disgusting. Being in advertising myself there’s a massive shift to other platforms and the times has charged ridiculously high rates for a falling aging readership. For those like me who are devastated at the possible removal of Driving please let the times know
Ironically it’s a victim of the times.
Dickehead celebrities are favoured as brand ambassadors these days.

I eventually did get a reply
Dear Rodney,
I'm sorry the motoring content was missing from January 7 edition. I'm assured that it was an isolated event (to make way for New Year fitness coverage) and the pages will be restored from this weekend (Sunday, Jan 14) onwards.
Thank you again for taking the trouble to write and I'm delighted you to hear you are a reader of the Driving pages.
Kind regards,
Nick Rufford
Driving editor
Perhaps they should give a health warning if you read the Driving section

Pretty epic lurking
Not half. 130 months, bloody hell, that's 11 years I know there's a lot of ste posted on here, but there's also been some bloody good threads over the years, epic threads one might say. All off which have passed the OP by without comment, but whoa...... The Sunday Times drops it's Motoring section and it's game on by the OP. He must really love the Sunday Times Motoring section.
Driving section pretty much disappeared well over a year ago. now reduced to one main review, and even for that it's normally "Jeremy Clarkson is away".
Telegraph going the same way - used to have a whole supplement on Saturday
Now reduced to a 2 page spread in the weekend section with very little of interest - normally questions to Honest John on Nissan Primeras!
I guess youtube video reviews (some of which are excellent now) are making the print media almost redundant.
