Richard Hammond annoys the h*ll out of me. He has accidents and relies on helicopter rescue, when our nearest and dearest anguish waiting for ambulances and on trolleys.

I really liked him when he was a cheeky chappy, all those years ago. Now I think he comes across as a pompous prat most of the time.

Unrelated I know, but feel better for getting it off my chest biggrin

It’s vital for the show to have RH and this format is a major contributor for their huge success. The three presenters each appeal to a particular type of audience:

JC - for the lads
JM - for the geeks
RH - for the chicks

Do you have a lot of nearest and dearest in the non-UK country where this crash happened?

And i am sure he woke up and said "you know what i feel like crashing a million quid car, destroying it, hospitalising myself for a month with a good chance of being killed"

That would be the PH way of doing it.

Funny thing is I've been stuck on motorways in the UK many times because the air ambulance needs to land to get someone who has been injured in a crash. Why do so many people in the UK have a giant chip on their shoulder about so many things?

Many times?

Blimey, it's never happened to me in nearly 25 years of driving.

All depends on how much time you spend on the roads and motorways in particular I suppose. I've done more driving in the last 10 years than my Dad did his entire life.
