"global warming was a political phenemenon" hmm......why do I have my doubts that the ABD really know any more about this than anyone else...strikes me as yet another case of 'choose the research which backs up your point of view and ignore all others'...or perhaps Im just being a little cynical? I don't think the ABD do know more than any one else, but it does prove if you can read statistics and get one answer. Someone else can read other statistics and prove exactly the opposite. So both parties fabricate the truth for their own benefit(Profit??). Basically the same as the old hydrogen dioxide scare

Certainly the ABD are not in it for profit... Indeed they are the only organistation set up to counter the 'anti-car' hype promoted by this government, and are firmly on the side of guys like us with the intention of allowing us to enjoy driving our cars on the road. Who cares what "spin" they put on it as long as it provides a voice in opposition to President Blurr...

Ok Maybe that came across wrong. I've been a member of the ABD for some time and I agree with the general consensus of voicing the opinions of people who are not Labour MP’s or tree huggers, people who need the car and are getting fed up with what the government perceives as a PC policy against the motorist. I also think its important that people are aware that statistics can be used to prove anything depending on your point of view. The Profit jibe was aimed squarely at the government. Still we will all have our say in a month or so.

Indeed, unfortunatly most will decide on 4 years of the same, despite 70% of voters holding a driving licence and being taxed to the hilt for the benefit of it.
