Nor do many forms of motorsport - even a kart could kill you if you're not careful. That's motorsport, it's dangerous, it's supposed to be. Bungee jumping wouldn't be anywhere as popular if they put a safety net under you. It's the danger that gets us - man against the danger that's what gets the adrenalin going. There's nothing wrong with that!
Given that the chances of an F1 driver being killed during a race is 1 in 6800 and the chance of you dying on the road is roughly 1 in 4500, following the danger / adrenaling logic. Driving a Micra down your local high street gets the adrenalin buzzing more than a lap of Silverstone in an F1 car. If you really want a buzz take up spoking (1 in 50) over a 40 year period.
Must be flaw in that logic.
