Rust... Trailing arms...... the odd suspension pump up, and if you are really unluck maybe a HGF.. but in reality thats about it. Parts are easy and nothing is sooo complex that a set of spanners and an afternoon cannot fix it. These are GREAT little cars. So called people "in the know" slag them off, but in reality they are very comfy, smooth riding, reasonably quiet and nippy. Roomy too given how tiny they are - Just park one next to a new MINI to see how big small cars have become - and there's far more room in the 100 than there is in the new MINI.
I loved my (daughters) old Rover 111, but she always complained that people took the mick out of her for driving a Rover. Strangely, now that she has a much newer Ford Fiesta she still says the Rover was a far nicer drive and had much more character. In short, she wants her Rover back!

Thanks Andy for reply, well since the post i put up I have had the car serviced by my mechanic and the brake pads at the front are new, very good disks and all 4 brake pipes are good no rust as the plastic sills have protected them. Oil and coolent changed, so all ready for the winter. Bonus even the cambelt and water pump was changed last year so tuch wood the HGF never comes. The car drives very smooth on the motorway, the girlfriend was surprised compaired to her R reg micra.

Well heres to cheep motoring during the week and I can protect the Z3 from the winter weather.
