really interesting article in two regards:
1) they aren't just replicating old designs; they're adapting them
2) the capacity of the factory is massively underused due to poor management. So they bought the Rover ethos, too! Seriously, though, think of the potential...

the SQJ 6451, a small 4×2 SUV-like car based on the Maestro platform. The body of this car completely resembles the old version of the Subaru Forester
It's quite bizarre that this blatant Forester copy sits on a Maestro platform!
This is also a strange looking one...
It appears to be some sort of high-riding cross between a Montego estate and Maestro van!
Elegance is dead.
Considering the huge number of plain 'fatgut' ugly vehicles western manufacturers are churning out, elegance really is dead but, not in the far east apparently even for light vans. Obviously a hack van but, it does have elegance even with the high ride stance which, given the condition of many roads out there, is probably an essentially useful feature.
They've grafted a Montego front end onto a Maestro van ... with a reasonable degree of success.
