Do not know the exact year, but, I believe all R75 and MGZT Diesels were fitted with the Bavarian power unit. Thus when the first Diesel R75 appeared would be what you need to know.

There's quite a lot of the Diesel variants of both R75 and MG ZT. Try ARonline ~ someone there may have the various totals if not available here.

All 75 Diesels are BMW powered. BMW petrol engines were never used.
