V8 Gearbox Question

Hello all

I'm going to be putting an R380 gearbox, out of an LDV Pilot van, into my V8 P6.

I've got two questions in respect of this. Will an SD1 LT77 bellhousing fit to the R380 'box? If so, will the gearbox mounted to the engine be the same length as an equivalent LT77 setup?

Think I read that this change involves quite a lot and doesn't come cheap...
on the RPI-website (www.v8engines.com/transmission.htm) you can find more information.
Alternative: overhauled LT77 as it is up to the job (especially with right oil and 'regular' oil changes).
