The 93bhp SPi is group 9, the 104bhp MPi is group 11 IIRC.

the metro gti is one of the best little hot hatches of the day and is still loved by many people including myself. yes they have a cracking engine but the body tends to rott but if looked after and oil sealed they will last as long as any other car
there is some great upgrade opionns you can drop in with no modifications atall 1.6 and 1.8 engines with piper cams and pullies & using the original gearbox also with the slight modification to the wiring harness any 1.8 vvc from the coupe, mgf, mgzr and the lotus mems2 and mems3 143bhp 0r 160bhp engine
i have a mgf vvc engine in mine and goes like fook 0-60 is less than 6 seconds and will do 140mph easy
