SD1 & Weber 500 Carb

Can anyone tell me what the tallest air filter I can get away with using is? The setup is Weber 500 carb sat on an Edelbrock Performer manifold.

I don't know, but the likes of RPI probably know.
Still like the SD1 JC was driving (drool, drool: especially when sitting in my non-running 2300S, but then take the wedge for a spin to get the V8 kick).

Just swapped from twin SU's to the Weber, fired it up today, oh boy sounded much like the SU ticking over warming up on the choke, then once it was warm, opened the throttle up and pppppuuuuuUUUUURRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPP, the sort of deep throated roar that makes all the hairs on your back tingle. I hope putting a filter on doesn't detact much from that!

I'd rate the Holley much more highly than the Weber (Edelbrock). Tried both on a tuned SDI. The Holley is about performance the Weber is about economy - different emphasis.
