ROVER 25 1.4 16V VERY SLUGGISH

CAN ANYONE HELP? - I HAVE A ROVER 25 1.4 16V 84PS ON A 54 PLATE, BUT IT IS SO SLUGGISH COMPARED TO MY OLD 214SI - IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO, IS THERE ANY UPGRADE

I think you can just swap the throttle body for one from the 103ps version (perhaps your old si was 103ps?) to gain the extra PS. A kn panel filter and removing the inner 2" diam plastic tube from the upper half of the airbox improved pick up in my sister 1.4 ZR though increased induction noise (not the aim!).
