620d bonnet wont open

iv got a deisel 620 for pootling back and forth to work but after being offshore for two weeks the battery died, now i cant get the bonnet open to jump start it

the cable seems to have tension so not sure whats not working, anyway does anyone know a trick to get it open?

Catch has probably seized up. Get someone to bang the bonnet with the flat of their hand while you pull the lever.

got pissed off with it yesterday and smashed the front grill in with a hammer, ripped it out, then undone the bolt which hold the catch to the car and it opened, catch was siezed with gunk and rust, quick jet wash and wd40 fixed it.

just no grill left now, bothered, it runs
