Throttle Bodies Or Motorcycle Carbs

Not sure about the K-series, but in general, surely a fully mapable system (including throttle bodies) has to be better than carbs as long as you have the facilities to map it?
I get the impression the tuning people only stick with carbs because they're familiar with them. Can't see any theoretical advantage over throttle bodies, just practicalities like cost and facilities to set it up. It's a personal thing, but I'd rather be typing a demand for a precisely measured quantity of fuel to be injected at a precise point on the cycle, at a given rail pressure etc. Rather than adjusting carbs by voodoo based on tubes, balance weights, the phase of the moon and the height of the tide at newlin
