wheel bearing noise?
Discussion
Sounds like a wheel bearing.
It is difficult to identify based on the noise you here, which wheel it is, as the body resonates and you can hear it anywhere.... Had a case when I thought noise was from the back, it was a front wheel bearing.
If the noise just started, it is not an issue yet but definately time to find parts and/or workshop. And the noise will remind you everytime when you drive the car, so difficult to forget.
As a temporary solution it is perhaps possible to reduce the excessive play you have by thighting the bearing up. Don't overthighten as then the bearings can 'weld' themselves to the axle!
