What problems do 98 rover 214 hatchbacks have? Looking at one with 60k on.

Head Gasket Failure is the main thing.

Due to BMW using cheaper materials! See if it has had the Thermostat mod done.
I have a 1.8 Freelander with a K series and no problems at all as it has had the thermostat re located.
