3.5 v8 cam options
Discussion
i have a friend with a ford pop running an early 3.5 v8 engine in it. he is after a cam but doesnt want anything that makes the car terrible to drive low down or to turn it in to a rocket ship just something mild, someone suggested the cam out of the same engine but the automatic version? is this correct? any help/contact details for cam places greatly appreciated.

Kent 218 seems ok: fast road with low down good behaviour. Plan to use this myself in the future in now std Vitesse trim 3.5. Don't think that autos had another cam. Other simple upgrade is to put a 3.9 std cam in, but some torque low down will be lost to get a bit more power higher up the rev range. There are many options (too many when you start to investigate), and the known RV8 tuners can help you as well of course. Some of them even have their own cams.
