MG ZT 260 V8 Oil Light

Anyone own a 2004 MG ZT 260 (Ford V8)not many built by MG befor they went under, if so had any oil pressure light problems, am told there is a problem with the Gateway ECU box not talking to the dash board ( ie the ford engine not talking to the MG dash ) ECU costs £800 plus fitting and programing
