Hello, my name is CET and I own a Rover 623iS.
It has a Honda 2.3 16v engine, has half leather, aircon and electric mirrors and sunroof. The stereo sounds excellent, the service history is full, the car holds 4 comfortably, it accelerates and handles well, and only has 86000 miles.
Tyres cost less than £200 all round, parts are cheap, it does 35 mpg and costs about £300 fully comp.
I left it in the freezing weather for 3 weeks and it started first time, not even a splutter.
I bought it on Ebay for less than £600 and am reliably informed it will do 300,000 miles if looked after.
I think its an absolute bargain, gets the kids to school safely and I don't worry too muuch about someone clouting it.
It has to be said there is a lot going for these cars especially as the 2nd hand market is so depressed.
Of course, when the sun comes out, so does the Esprit.

I used to run a 623 GSi a few years back - nightfire red with buff leather interior. Never had a single problem with it (though the driver's front electric window dropped to the bottom of the door one time after I had passed it on to my sister). Used to be quite quick off the mark, though third gear was always a little long. I always keep an eye out for a well looked after 620ti and probably will pick one up in a moment of weakness (must keep away from autotrader).
One thing that the 600 has that later cars don't - visibilty. The winscreen is huge and the A pillars ridiculously thin compared with comtemporary cars.
