Classic car driving experiences seems to be a growing area.

The one car I'd be really curious to have a go in is the Rover SD1 - when I was a small boy in suburban London in the 80s, this was the car that caught my eye with its Italianate lines and promise of up to "3500" cc on the boot badge. However, in all honesty I don't want to buy one, at least at present. But I'd love a go in one to feel what they're actually like to drive.

A tearaway cousin of mine had a V8 early in his driving career and earned a ban in it, unfortunately before I had a licence so I couldn't even ask to try it.

I can't see anywhere that offers an SD1 of any specification, has anyone heard of such a place? Doesn't even have to be the V8, I'd be happy with a go in one of the sixes.

There is a place in the New Forest that did some work on my Vitesse (some years ago), that had a rental twin plenum in silver. If I can remember their damn name I’ll post it! They were around Burley area, from memory.

Thanks a lot, that looks promising.
