Britain's Mercedes Beater - Rover 75 Connoisseur 2.5 V6
Discussion
Hi everyone,
If you're interested, here's a video I've put together looking around a gorgeous Rover 75.
I talk a bit about the history and development of the 75, then have a good look around, and finally give you a taste of the growly V6 noises it makes!

Excellent video. I was anticipating plenty of misapprehensions and falsehoods, particularly around the relationship with BMW, but the content of your video was spot on.
I was 21 when I bought by first 75, and I've still got it, among other cars, 12 years later, although it needs a fair amount of work. Your video is a bit of a kick to start making plans for it again.

i actually went the other way. I had an early 75 (black sills - Coventry built?) and sold it to buy a Mercedes.
Reason was the Rover 75 was unreliable. I ended up spending more on it than fuel and had to throw the towel in on it. It got scrapped about 3 months after i bought it. I vowed to never own one again.
Not forgetting i was a Rover man for about 20 years beforehand.
