Diagnositics From a Rover 820 engine can you convert to ODB2

Hi,
I have the above 820 engine in my morgan, it has a 3 pin ECU plug, which is the same as the Mini and 820.

The car is from 95/96. Can you convert the plug to ODBII and get a cheap reader or do you have to find an original 90's one for a Rover... like a SYKES PICKAVANT one?
