My Rover P5b Coupe (new member)
Discussion
Hi Guys,
New member on here so thought i would introduce myself & my "Classic".
"Thelma" as she's known has been with me for coming on 13 years now & in that time various things have been done to her. Currently she sits on Jensen alloys with whitewall's, i have built & fitted a brand new 4ltr V8 with webber carb, oil cooler for the BW35 gearbox which was uprated slighly before being installed with the engine 3000 miles ago.
Various bits & bobs like adjustable spax on the front, but there isn't the spares or company's out there that do much for the P5b.
I also run a 4.2ltr XK8 Coupe in midnight black which is a fantastic car to drive, unlike my company car...Insignia estate ...
Cheers,
Big Kev.

Kev,
Lovely looking Coupe that.... I've seen a photo or two of it before online somewhere (probably one of the Rover club's sites) and thought the Jensen alloys looked a bit odd, but in that profile shot you posted above I'm rather warming to 'em! Nice colour combo too, Admiralty Blue / Silver Birch, very tasty. I was looking at getting a '60s Jag to replace my current V8 P6, but I'm rapidly moving towards having another P5B Coupe instead, I had one a few years back and regretted selling it almost straight away, despite it becoming a bit of a money pit... when you get a good one they are so nice, everything fells 'right' when you're behind the wheel, you really do feel like the king of the road.
If you're ever tempted to sell yours, please get in touch, my pockets are getting twitchy and I've let two others slip through my fingers in the past week...!
Would love to see some more photos of it too.... ;-)
