I am working on a Rover V8 engine (SD1)and need to put it on my engine stand so i am after some long bolts to mount it with. No where near me still does non metric threads so i am going to send off for some. Am i right in assuming they are UNC thread type?..........Martin

If you've not already obtained an answer, best to post this on the more specialised MG/Rover sites such as :~

1) MGBBS : http://www2.mgcars.org.uk/cgi-bin/gen5?runprog=mgb...

or, one of the more general subject headings.

2) Rovertech.net : http://www.rovertech.net/forum/

3) MG-Rover.org : http://forums.mg-rover.org/

They are indeed UNC. If you take a look on eBay you can buy UNC bolt kits for the RV8 so you should get all you need in the right diameters, lengths etc.
