Exhaust Sleeves - Pros & Cons?
I hear there is a very simple way to improve the glorious sound system on the Tuscan - by 'sleeving the cans'
What does this entail?
Does it effcet the warranty?
Where can I get them from?
Thanks for your help
It can be a diy job - I helped do one, 17 inches of 50mm o/d ss tube each side, 2mm wall thickness, drill holes diametrically opposite each other (6-8mm dia) at one end to aid removal, about 5mm from end. Remove cans from car, bang tubes into cans, from the engine facing end until flush with existing pipe (holes end in last).Fit cans back and roar - the noise is excellent. Some dealers turn a blind eye, some recommend against, some will do it for you. Warrantee - be careful, any excuse will do for the factory - they argue changes back pressure, cats bla bla.Best to deny it, always remove b4 sending car anywhere near a dealer. After 2 years, what the hell! Cost - £10. I know someone who bought a humungous length of tube, he might have some over.

Not got my baby Tuscan yet, just exploring the options.
I'll have a play when it arrives.

prob a dumb question but where do you got the pipe from?
You could try B&Q or Homebase! But it may be that they don't stick the correct size! Maybe somewhere like Wickes maybe, or even a Specialised Plumbing Supplies!
Builders merchant perhaps!!
I'm the guy who bought a whole long section and had it cut up.
Still got sections left over, all cut and ready to be knocked in...
Email me if you're interested...

I checked in the 'Demon Tweek's' catalog last night and they sell all sizes of steel tube (mild only)
- 50mm oouside diameter is about £15 for a 5ft length.
