Two Tuscans for sale
Discussion
Anyone here know any of the history about the 2 Tuscans for sale just advertised on the Mole Valley TVR website this morning?
1. 2001 "Y" Reflex Green 2,900 miles,£36,950 Y927GDM
2. 2000 "X" Nuvola Blue Pearlescent, 11,000 miles, POA
2,900 miles is not a lot of miles to be selling already...

Probably someone who just didn't get the TVR "thing" - i.e. had a few annoying niggles (or at worst an engine problem).
Blimey that Reflex green one is nice - not a bad price either. If I had the cash now I would race you for it! Would go and take a look myself - no harm in looking (well thats what I tell wifey anyway!).
From a dealer with a waranty I would suspect that £36K is a pretty good price. Would check out the previous owner and get a decent report on it, but other than that it seems ok...
Stop press - just taken another look - NO AIRCON. Not that would bother me (for gods sake the roof does come off) but supposedly this does affect resale values. Would look for myself anyway...
Cheers,
Paul

Went and had a close look, as I'm only 5 miles away...took the silver-blue one out for a drive...lovely...returned an hour later with wifey, and now I'm much poorer 'cos I bought the green one!
Tough decision, especially as the cheaper one had air-con...but the age (11 months) and mileage, and colour persuaded me to get the greenie...subject to a satisfactory test drive and review of the full history on Tuesday. They've got my deposit, so I'm all excited now. Fingers crossed that I've made the right decision.
What they did tell me, was that it started life as the Christopher Neil demo car, then sold on... Ring any bells anyone?
Go check out the blue-silver one...the web photo does it no justice. I've put up a few pics of both cars, which I think show the paint work off better...

paul-wh The blue one is on at £31,950...I took it out for about a half-hour, and it was a dream to drive...I can't see it be being there for long at that price.
It has to be said, Gareth at Mole Valley was very good, no pressure, even suggested I get the blue one...and he's driving my one over to me on Tuesday for a test-drive.
The green colour is just fantastic...haven't seen that many in that shade. Should take ownership in a couple of weeks as they are adding a few extras for me...plus I need to find a large amount of dosh too...(wonder how much I can get for a kidney ?)
Can't wait !!

This is getting even better.
My deal is a done deal so it looks like I am getting am 18 month old Tuscan for 26k. There is an anomoly with this one though. It has been rebuilt by TVR following an accident which bent the chassis. TVR do not repar chassis so the car has been rebuilt. This means it has a new style chassis which means new front suspension (I have been told that this is a good thing!!!). It has been refitted with new carpets and had a respray.
So, to the optomist it is a NEW car with an old engine. To the pessimist it is a new car with an OLD engine.

Must say that Gareth sold me my car and the service and support I have received so far is excellent!
Can't wait to pick up my car - About 10th June!
No worries Matt,
I was still intending to part-ex the Chim but I would have passed on the dealers name if you were interested. The dealer is carrying out a small amount of repair work where sombody reversed into it while I was in a car park which cracked the GRP around the front right indicator.
There I was following the car in front (natuarally). We both stopped but then I saw the reverse lights go on. I lent on the horn but to no avail. OUCH!! Still, it is mainly cosmetic and her insurance is paying for it. You should have seen her face when she saw what she had backed into. Boy was she apologetic.
Another reason for part-exchanging is that if I do not get on with the Tuscan I do have a bit of time before my Chim will be available for sale so I can swap back if neccesary.
Cheers
