After-market hi-level brake light kit anyone?
Discussion
I decided that one of the most obvious and helpful features of the newer Tuscans over the older is the hi-level brakelight that is incorporated into the rear roll bar between the led indicators.
After some research I got hold of the brake light unit, some matching trim and got a local company to make me a custom brake light pod and fit it all for me. The result has been very pleasing and looks like it has always been there - a very professional job.
As part of my MBA, I have uncovered my entrepreneurial streak and was wondering about getting these made commerically and marketing them to owners of 2000-2002 Tuscans. The pod would feature:
-original Hella led brake light as fitted by TVR
-pod and fixings with the brake light built in
-covered in trim to match your vehicle
They could be a DIY, dealer, or hi-end ICE fitted.
I have some photos of mine but always find it difficult posting pictures up here, if anyone would volunteer to host that would be great.
Difficult to provide exact costings but I reckon something around £250 when trimmed to match. How many of you out there in PH land would find this on interest? No promises that I would offer this because of course I need to assess the demand first!
Thanks
Bryan

Hi Steve,
It should take about an hour to fit working on the basis they had my car for around 6 hours. In that time they designed, built the glass fibre pod and assembled/trimmed the unit. I supplied the trim and brake light (supplied via TVR's parts dept). I'd therefore guess about £40.00 to fit?
Thanks for volunteering to host, I know you're an expert at it!

Looks good Bryan. I am currently looking
into replacing the inner ring of
the indicator L.E.D.'s with red one's
to turn them into dual indicator and brake
light units. Not sure if it will be any good
though yet.Thought of maybe replacing them
all with dual colour L.E.D.'s that change
from red to orange depending on the voltage
applied.
