Where can I get cheap tyres?

I just found a nail in one of my rears - it's running OK but it's probably too close to the tyre wall to take out and repair. I guess I'm looking at a new set of rears which was inevitable soon as they're down to 3mm. Any recommendations on where to get some cheap Bridgestones / other good tyres?

Elite tyres in Rainham Essex have just quoted me £243.90 + vat for two rears for my Tuscan (TOYO)which i didnt think was to bad,that was fitted and all the balance ect ect.

Well, I'll beat everyone else to it...Micheldever Tyres, in erm, Micheldever, sort of between Winchester and Basingstoke. Give 'em a call on 01962 774437. Superb set-up there, and I've never ever known anyone beat their prices.

Sounds good - I'll check them both out. By the way - what oil do you use in your car? I've got 7K on the clock so the manual says I should use Mobil 10W40 which I cannot find anywhere. Is it OK to use other brands or a different spec?

You've obviously not phoned Bracknell Tyres then.

(Micheldever are indeed very good though. So are Headley Tyres nr. Newbury who price-match Micheldever)

Edit: For example, my wife needs a pair of 195 / 45 R16's for her Cupra.

Dont know if you have a Costco near you but they
do Mobil 1 for £25 which is not bad.Also any TVR
dealer should stock it.

Yep, Mobil 1 is the oil for the Elise. Bloody expensive, although mine has used less than a pint in 23K.
