Well.. the deed is done

After 6 weeks of looking, finally bought one last
night.

In fact, the 2000 RR of fellow PHer Mr Freefall.

Hellish raining weather yesterday, but was still given an 'exciting' drive by Gary and money changed hands.

Spent 4 hours last night cleaning off all the crap from the rain and cleaning alloys inside and out :-)

So far I am driving it like my grandfather used to drive his Mini Metro.

After Gary showing me what she can do I realise I really need to take my time to get to know her first and slowly build up my experience.

Luvely car though. luvely. Two of my neighbours I last spoke to about 6 months ago were round last night when they saw it in the drive chatting for ages. And I have never driven anything that stops most people dead in the street to stare at you like the tuscan.

I gave in to saddness last night... couldn't resist driving down to the local multi-plex/micky-dees place where all the boy racers hang out... I have never seen so many mouths open since I watched that strange japanese 'bukkaki' movie a friend loaned me :-)

I still find it amazing that these cars have such a presensce akin to the expensive marques of Ferrari, Lambo etc etc. You do just get crowds gawping and strangers wanting to talk to you - probably more so than if you were in a Ferrari/Lambo.

Take it easy in the wet and in the cold. And don't forget to get spare sunglasses in the car .
