Just picked it up yesterday and wanted to know how best to run it in, so as to get the best performance out of it later on; speed, RPM’s etc… Any experiences appreciated?

Yes I was told by the dealer and I've read the handbook; however I was looking for any additional info from you guys which may or may not differ from the above in order to get it run in somewhat perfectly as to extract every oz of power out of it in the long term.

Thx Pies, very informative.

I picked mine up at the begining of April. Did the first thousand in a week . The advice has been to let the car warm up, stick to the rev guides and run it at different sppeds.i.e. dont do the thousand miles at 3000 revs all at 70-80mph. I did a load of shorter and longer runs and after its service it was running beautifully. The main advice has to be ENJOY.
