Can just imagine how they said "They all depreciate like that, sir".

I know the new owner of my Cerb had a (small) accident in it within 30 minutes of me handing the keys over...

Not sure if this beats everything for undue haste: Owner of his brand new T350 - it took him three hours to demolish it on a steep bend from the dealership. Ah well, at least he can claim his TVR ran perfectly up and until that sad moment.

As pssed off as all the guys at the factory must have been that their work went to waste, the dealership must've been quite happy that they never had to lose a penny in maintainance!

I don't think anyone should be allowed to own a car so needlessly fast (and relatively difficult to drive) without proving themself on it/something lesser first. Why not focus road policy on things like that rather than those doing 32mph in a 30 zone.

When I bought my first E-Type I collected it on a rainy day. Out of the E-Type Centre, along the road, sharp right hander, poor windscreen wipers, 180 degree spin.

Luckily no damage, except to my pride. Lesson learned though.

Judging by your nickname, I guess you mean that the lesson you learned was to take the corner just that little bit quicker next time, do a full 360 and be able to drive straight on again?! Sussed it yet?

I remember reading an article in a local Leicester paper about some bloke who picked up and Ultima from the factory and wrote it off on a roundabout less than half a mile away.

Didn't Porsche use to give you a performance car driving course when you bought a new 911. Seems like a bright idea when you hear about some muppets antics...
