Anyone know what is the best stuff to use to clean the inner rims? Even though I wash them every week, they are still gradually getting a build up.

I very very occasionally use something like wonderwheels.

Once you have then clean, dry them, and use Halfords Allow wheel protector on them.

It's like a clear oily wax.

you spray/wipe it on with a cloth and a gives them an invisible seal.

You should find now that some cold to warm water with a bit of car wash will be all you need to clean them, as the brake dust/muck just sits on top of the wax.

I find I need to redo the wonderwheels then wax once a year. So, they keep clean AND you don't need to use the corrosive acidy wonderwheels type stuff very often.

Cif Bathroom Mousse - Lemon - and then a good wax polish to keep them clean.

This is really weird as I remember recommending T-Cut for polishing up plastic baths recently. There must be even more cross overs between domestic and car products waiting to be discovered out there.

Who needs Zymol, when you can use Mr Sheene?

I used to use WD40 to clean the 3 spoked alloys on my Ducati - sprayed onto a cloth and wiped around as opposed to spraying directly onto the wheel and covering your disks - it shifted anything and meant that the build up of dust just wiped off when cleaning in the future

I use wonderwheels.

Once they're spotless you can then wax them and they become easier to keep pristine.

I did the wonderwheels job a couple or three times then waxed them after and I reached the stage where the wonderwheels was redundant as the brake dust just slid off during washing.

Also, the quicker you get to the brake dust the easier it is to remove...

Cheers
