am going back to my local dealer to try and get my car home. endless problems, and cost, still car is not right, which is our fault apparantly, also the fact that i a mere woman phoned and dared to ask for progress on the car which is mine incidently. i mean, they had already spoken to my husband yesterday and only one person is supposed to ring them.??? what was i doing interfering.....
i should be at home cleaning and doing the cooking of course, don't you know the engine is a highly complicated thing deary
god ahhahahahh
the amount of people that said for service don't go there, i salute you all, oh well no more money in their pockets.
and on the comment we shall come and get the car tomorrow, don't bother to look at it sometime in the near future, maybe, when you have a moment, as its still not right, the comment was okay bye!!
hurrah, who said the customer is always right, its only money
thanks people feel so much better, glass of wine anyone????
think the pressure has finally got to me. i'd rather take the train for a week and pay some one else

hi was there soon as doors open, thanked the poeple there that we had dealt with before for all their help and said i would not be backed. looked a little surprised, never mind.
anyway car was driving very well, with just one instant of hesitating. one of the nice mechanics from blackpool now down south, said when you take it some where else get them to check the cats first, if their ok, its almost certain its electrical.
had a spin on saturday and took her to work today, some slight hesitation, but not as bad as over the bank holiday. we had been stuck in traffic and the car had got hot, although not overheated. after that she was hesitating in every gear, at all speeds. when at a constant 40, it was like some one was holding onto the brake, then letting go, then applying them again.
so have car booked in else where for check up. trouble is it is quite intermittent. any ideas peeps. according to our service history we have had pots, finger follower, leads, new coil etc and one new cat so not sure what else to expect.
if it is the cats can she run okay without them until new ones are put on??

ref previous comment, i know you will all groan, but i have always filled up at tescos. she will need fuel this week, so will try a couple of tanks of optimax, has anyone else noticed the difference between changing fuel???

Dont use Tesco Fuel Totty it's Shocking. I feed my Tuscan and my ///M Roadster on nothing but Optimax the difference is very noticable. No pinking under load and smoother pickup. I beleive Tesco fuel has lots of nasty additives due to its poor quality although I may be wrong.
Happy motoring!
I get my Tus back this weekend after a broken throttle cable :-) It goes for a respray too next week after some B$**er scratched the boot.
Summer is on its way though :-)

here we go again - I work in the oil industry and the fuel in Tescos IS NO DIFFERENT TO ANY OTHER. We make fuel for dozens of people. If you park outside a refinery you will see tankers for Tescos, Esso, Shell all coming out the same place. If Shell have a refinery in Scotland and a filling station in Linconshire they don't pay to transport it there they get us to fill the station for them and they do the same up there. All fuel is made to a BS. You do sometimes get some manufacturers that play it a little close to the line on the specification but essentially it's all the same. Those of you who say "well I always buy from BP" you have no idea where that fuel has come from!!! We export something like 40% of our gasoline to the USA market -no doubt they think it's all made there ...... sorry rant over - another urban myth dispelled hopefully
thanks people
car is going in to new people on monday so the lambda sensor will be one of the things they will look at.
at the moment she is 95% okay, and when she is hesitating there is no pattern, sometimes at 80, sometimes at 40. in the dry and wet mmmmmm.
only have a few more days until i get a company vehicle so won't be using her as a daily driver any more...
just hanging in there for the last miles....

BP Ultimate is 98(or is it 97) RON Super unleaded . Optimax is slightly different ( and better IMHO ) as it has some extra detergent style additives in it to clean the crap out your engines. The main point I wanted to make was that it is a myth that Supermarket fuel is shite. A tanker will fill Tescos tanks and then go on to another garage ( BP ,Esso ) and fill theirs too...Bit like paying for £80 Armani Jeans that are made in Turkey for £5 - you are paying for the branding costs. Tescos sell it cheap to get you in there - "oh whilst we're here we'll get the shopping in"...Just to P*ss you all off completely - without the duty that the government take we could sell 98RON unleaded for 18p a litre delivered......
