Cigar Lighter Electrics

My cigar lighter has packed up to day. Stripped it down and have changed the fuse to no avail. Any other ideas why it may not be working? I'm a non-smoker so I use the socket to power my road angel and my hands free kit. It's made me think that all these untidy wires need to be sorted. Anyone got an idiots guide to wiring the angel and the h/free kit up?

Will be doing lots of work on the wiring around the cigarette lighter over the next few days (may get left until after I get back from a quick hol in a week or two, tho). I'll be taking plenty of pics and posting up the details once it's done.
