I've finally uploaded a video from my car hitting 178 at Bruntingthorpe if anyone's interested!

It's a bit big, at 28MB, but I'm not too clued up on video formats, so am not sure if it would help encoding it to another format.

"F***ing hell....178" indeed.

One question though. Did you ever see that Grif again

Awesome.

Get it over to Luca Brazzi to compress and host if you can.

I didn't realise just how high your windscreen wipers can float above the windscreen until I saw this!

Uh-huh - chuckling woman was me. It was truly amazing. Car felt very solid. What a buzz.

Could of gone faster if you maybe went faster round the bottom corner(if it was dry)

Question: how much more did the car have to give - could it have gone faster still given more space?

Great effort, sounds wonderful. Well done!

Cracking video!

Having experienced a run at exactly the same speed, I can also confirm that the car felt completely solid @ 178..

What a car!

To reply to the various posts...

1) Yep, it would have gone faster if the straight was longer - the red change up light was just starting to flicker, so I guess 185 may have been possible if it wasn't for the car park full of cars at the end of the straight!

2) Taking the bottom corner faster wouldn't really have made much difference at all - maybe an extra 1 or 2mph. It was wet and quite slippery though, hence me taking it easy, but on my best run of 179 I saw the Murcielago spin trying to keep up with me!

3) The car felt really solid at that speed, and there were none of the scary noises and vibrations that Evo reported when they hit 180. Well, no noises apart from Mel!
