Just wondering as I am property shopping today. I will have an underground space and two guest spaces outside but was wondering if anyone parks there car outside over night.

If you do, any probs with rain etc?

Mine's parked outside on the drive(garage is full of kids junk). Sometimes I get the odd 'dribble' of rain down the inside of the doors when it is particulary wet/windy(as it often is in S.Wales!), but apart from that, it is fine. You can buy a hood cover for £150 that fits over the roof of the car to protect it from the rain/frost etc....

The car is going to be in extreme heat and extreme wind and extreme rain. Often all three all in the space of an hour.

Underground seems like the best bet then.

Mine's left outside all the time, but it does need a cover to prevent leaks down the inside of the A-pillar.

Have you managed to find one yet?

I always keep her tucked snuggly in her garage. It's the least I can do for such a special lady.

I have found two I like the look. I have decided to wait until next week when I get back into town to really go shopping though. I am sure I am losing hair and gaining stress lines on the old forehead searching everyday and night.

mine's outside all the time...thankfully no problems with leaks..although do keep a cover on it all the time to stop tree sap getting on the paintwork...

cover is one I got from TVR centre specifically designed for the tuscan...fits fine and can be washed in your home washing machine, but the elastic has recently gone in it and now isn't as snug as it could be...pity

wasn't cheap but is good...thing there are cheaper ones out there

My poor car lives out on the road all the time, no cover, no garage - no problem!

Only problem I have had is some scrote dragging a key down the passenger door......

Yep, my baby lives outdoors all the time. Got a cover but whenever the wind picked up the flapping of the cover set the alarm off "DOH". So cover no longer used. Had no real probs but she certainly drives better in dry sunny weather, or maybe its just me wishing the summer here early

We have a tough boy, who lives outside permanently. No leaks at all!

Mine lives outside on the drive as all our cars do. Garage has never had space for a car yet!

Did have leaks down the front of the doors. Was on the list of fixes on three different sortouts by the dealer (under warranty). Never fixed. Car was permanently damp and problems were starting with trim bubbling and computer bugs.

Took my car to a different dealer - Henley Heritage - for 6000 mile service snags sort out and they fixed the leaks. Dry as a bone since and what rain we have had the past month or so.

I'm amazed that so many TVRs live outside particularly in bad crime post codes - is it a case that you all have understanding insurers or are you all taking a risk?

You take a risk just waking up in the morning!

Apart from the trials and tribulations of keeping any car, especially a convertible, dry inside, they are meant to go outside in most weathers you know!
