How much coolant is it using? Are you sure you are not simply filling it to the brim and the coolant is escaping from the filler cap until the correct level remains?
It's tricky to check the water level as you can only see into the neck of the filler, which should have about 10ml of water showing when cold. If it shows this and you drive the car and let the engine warm up fully so both fans will come on and the car does not overheat then it should be fine. Check again when cold and you should see the same amount(10ml) of water in the filler neck.
If you fill it to the brim while cold, and let the car fully warm up it will spit out water from the coolant filler cap until the correct amount remains.
I find my Tuscan has never needed to have a top up of water between services.
