Bit the bullet and went for the Nitrons (Not RR's or GG's). However for road use they are so stiff and when driving home from the garage post fitting, the jolts would be un-bearable for too long. So is there a bedding in period or should I adjust now and if so where do I start? Do I wind back off to zero to work out what number the setting was at then wind on by 50%. Also how many settings to Nitrons have and where is the adjuster. Shoudl have asked all these Q's at the garage but was over excited to try them out.

Adjuster is at the top. Return to zero (may be worth noting number of clicks) and then move to desired setting. I had fronts at 10, rears at 12 which was fine for the UK but too stiff for Aus. The other option is that if it does not suit then take it back to the installer and get dierent jets to make it softer/stiffer.

My Nitrons have 25 clicks and i have 7 clicks (from zero i.e. softest) on rear and 9 on front. This is all on a Tamora with 400lb springs front & 325lb springs rear. Took it to Track V Road for geomo setup and he said that this was the settings he would recommend for a Tamora.
Not sure of the weigh distribution and spring rates on a Tuscan but would imagine something similar would be close?
A call to Track V Road or any of the other independents should yield the correct settings!
Like B t P said the adjusters are a ring at the top (or bottom in my case as i mounted upside down which you can do with gas filled mono's DONOT do this with oil filled shocks!!!)
P.S. If you have just had them fitted it would be worth having a geomo setup to get them working spot on, should cost arround £100 dependent on what if anything needs adjusting!

at first my nitrons were about 12 from hard, but that was too soft (exhaust touched ground after speedbumps with heavy passenger). Then i tried full hard but that was too hard. Now they are at about 6 from hard which is ok.

Which Nitrons are they, NTR's?
My car has NTR's and Eibach springs and I'm running 11 front and 9 rear (from full soft).

Hi - I have Nitron Sports with the Eibach spring upgrade. I observed that from when the shocks were fitted new, the car felt overly stiff. However, I ran around in it for a couple of months anyway and there was a level of bedding in observed.
My units (front and back) have a 23 click range.
The standard settings were F: 9 clicks from fully soft, and R: 12 clicks.
So, the fronts are tending toward the soft end of the scale so I left them alone, but I have now backed the rears off one click softer (11 from soft).

And, if anyone is wondering, changing shocks (+ geom check) is not necessarily the answer to the nervy Tuscan handling (in my experience).

Springs for ground clearance, shocks for rebound and bump.

OK so finishing the jobs in prep for the first post winter run, and have wound off all the Nitron settings and cant remember where I had them. Are fronts supposed to be firmer than the rear of vice versus.
I run on A roads and fast B's so don't need track days settings. So would be grateful if everyone running Nitrons kindly post;

Front= (Number from Softest) , Rear= (Number from softest) , Comfott= (Crashingly Hard, Hard, Firm Comfort, Comfort, Wallow)

Thanks in advance.

I'm in the process of installing Nitrons with Eibach springs. They came from factory set at 10 from hard (24 total). How has everyone else have theres mounted? I'm replacing Racing Reds which are rod side down at the rear and rod up at the front. Is this normal?
