Does anyone have any experience with these devices?

Are they worth the money?

I have ordered a Geodesy Plus with the new car on the recommendation of the dealer but would be interested to know if it's saved anyone's bacon!

Cheers,

Didn't really tell me much though.

Does anyone else have any experience when using one of these?

My Geodesy has easily saved many times its purchase price in the detection of a number of fixed cameras.
I bought the upgrade online, which might seem steep but gets rid of a lot of unnecessary noise and flashing.

Geodesy works really well. I gives you warning a fixed distance from any permanent speed trap, Gatso, Truvelo, SPECS etc. As you get closer the warning becomes more noticeable (ie more lights, beeps etc). You can get a few false alarms as you pass near other roads with cameras nearby and it doesn't take direction of travel into account. You can move it easily from car to car and you get a little box which dials up and updates the database for you. The Geodesy plus has a few extra useful features.

Great! Now that sounds like a good deal.

I guess with cameras like SPECS, a Radar or Laser detector/Jammer will be sod all use?

Thats that sorted out then!

Don't forget the reverse is true though i.e. Geodyssey is sod all use against laser etc - but I expect you know that. I think it comes down to how much you drive in your home patch/known roads or go off all over the place. Locally, you will know where all the cameras are - but get the occasional plod suprise when its sunny and they are out booking folk with laser with a sandwich (or pie?) in the other hand. On the otherhand, if the roads are not familiarto you, probably the Geodyssey is more useful.
