dear reader

i have the misfortune of owning a tusan 2001 (ah the sleepless nights)...whilst driving the car last night the wipers stopped working. after listening to the car it appears the wipersmotors are still working but no wipers are moving which makes me think it is maybe an arm of some sort that has popped off or broken. has anyone else had a similiar problem if what was the verdict as i'm thinking of troubleshooting it myself. cheers!

It sounds like the spline has gone inside the wiper arm (they are only cast aluminium).
One check you can do, is to remove the bonnet section, undo and remove both wiper arms, and activate the rotors. If the rotor shaft turns, its the wiper arms, if they do not, then the link cable underneath has become detatched from the motor (thats assuming the motor is still working as you say).

Good luck!

just had mine replaced, the drivers side was making a funny noise, although still working. they reckoned it was on its last legs.

hope you get it sorted.
