Yesterday afternoon, a reflex dark green (?) Tuscan with TVR plate went past John Smiths Brewery on London Road. No roof or rear screen.....a real man or woman, grrr!

Anyone here?

You work in the brewery mod?

I was out in my Tuscan all afternoon yesterday. Harrogate, Northallerton, all over the Dales. Nobody ever spots me.

No, I don't work in the brewery unfortunately I have been working on the new bottling hall thats due for completion soon. I was outside the main London Road entrance looking at the positions of the new weighbridges and gatehouse that are going ahead soon soon

I'll look out for you in future.....hows the car running after being in the shop?

That could have been me on the way home if it was a Chameleon Blue (blue/green mix). York to Leicester in the customary roof off/window out trundling configuration.

Got a bl00dy Fiat Stilo as a hire car from Leicester back to Poole - they are truely awful but cheap.

Editted to add - First time I've been spotted in nearly 8000 miles !

Yes, it did look like a mix of blue and green. BTP we were so close, yet so far away! Had you come from York on the A64, nipped through Tadcaster, and gone across contry to Brotherton to pick up the A1 southbound? The road from Taddy to Brotherton is excellent, there is a straight you can get up to 1xx mph easily Does yours have a TVR plate?

Sweet. It wasn't an engine problem that it was in for. I couldn't get out of her on Thursday, every time I got close to home she wanted to turn in another direction and keep on going. Need to go to Ilkley on Monday morning so I hope the rain stays away.

Was the pic in your profile taken at Raby?

Yes, pic was taken at Raby.

Mine should back at the end of next week. Turns out the leak (read river ) from behind the dash was a pricked heater hose. Should should be easy to and quite cheap to fix. Am having the 2 dashboards refinished too at London Carraige Craft, hence the wait till the end of next week.

Yes and Yes. Went down the A162 if that is the Brotherton road you were mentioning. I have still to get an idea of where places are in Yorkshire.

Maybe we will meet in the next few weeks as I will be returning !

Yes, will have to meet up when you have moved in up here.

As an aside the meeting point for the North Yorkshire TVR club is very close to Tadcaster - the White Swan at Wighill. You would turn right at the lights at the top of the hill in Tadcaster if you came off the A64 from York.

I've been at the last 3 meetings ! The Nov one I had the Chim (cooper green so blends into the background), Jan I was in a hire car (Megane Diseasal ) and this month the Tuscan was parked just outside the pub door - it even had a 'driving gods country' sticker on it as it went past you on Thursday !
