Hi all, just picked up my first Tuscan. It is absolutely chucking it down here, and on the way home had the dreaded EFI warning come on. The car seemed to be running OK, the oil pressure read between 40 and 60 PSI, likely to be the wet???

A couple of other questions; the car was advertised as having air-con, however on the coldest setting it seems pretty cold, how can you tell whether you have air-con?

Lastly, it is a 2001 model with the orange indicators and repeaters, can you change these for the clear ones?

Problem is, if you don't have aircon and press the button the blue light still comes on! Unless they fitted aircon to my car and forgot to tell me...

Well done, I'm happy for you and hope that you find the Tuscan a rewarding car to own and drive .

The orange front and side indicators are replacable. The side repeaters are a Citroen/Peaugot part. The old ones just twist 90 degrees and can be pulled off (for changing the bulb). The slots in the GRP bodywork may need filing down to take the new repeaters, or alternatively, file down the lugs on the new side repeaters.

The front indicators are a dealer/factory modification. I believe some people have done it themselves, but its not for the feint hearted as it requires breaking the bonding that holds them in, and bonding in the new ones. IIRC, the cost or replacing the fronts by the factory is about £150 all in, the units being about £70 for the pair. (that is around what I remember).

Should not worry about the Efi, they can do when they get wet - the electrics are a bit sensitive in that direction!

Well done, welcome aboard and enjoy!

A/C.When you hit the switch you'll hear a distinctive "clunk" from under the bonnet. They don't really get very cold so if your used to an ordinary car's A/C you wil find the Tuscan's somewhat less forcefull.

There a pair of round connectors behind the air box by the bulkhead between the cabin and engine bay (just above your knees under the bonnet). If you undo these and spray WD40 in and reconnect it helps with EFI etc warnings and also helps stop the intermittent flashing of the change-up lights.

Well done BTW and welcome to the gang!

Well done chim450
Nice choice of car, I went to look at the car you bought and in the end went for the same colour Tuscan at Chris Niels.
If you fancy a run out over the weekend the North Wales TVRCC is having its meet in Conway at 3:00pm on Sunday.

Hope you have good luck with the car.

Thanks Matthew, Crystal Topaz is a great colour. I didn't see any in that colour advertised on Chris Neils website (I was looking pretty much every day), you must have snapped it up straight away!

Won't be able able to make it this w/e as I am working (have to pay for the car somehow!!!), but look forward to meeting up with a few more Tuscan owners soon!

Chim450, my car was only advertised for 1 day on Autotrader I went to see it and then put the deposit down that day.

How do you find the new tuscan compared with the chim?

I know I thought the Tuscan was a lot better finished off than my old Griffith 500
