Tuscan for sale
Discussion
Sad day I know but I am now officially out of work.
Thats not really the bad part, I desparatly need a buyer for the Tusc.
Any of you out there who know someone that wants a bargain, now is the time.
See my profile for car details, or it is on the classifieds.
www.pistonheads.com/sales/detail.asp?i=17330&s=2
I am going to go into business for myself and hope to own again next year.
If any of you need a fire or fireplace please let me know as that is going to be my new venture.
Sadly,
Terry

Really sorry to hear about your job situation. I like your car and would love to come and have a look. It's a just a week or two early for me and I wouldn't want to waste your time until I've sold the car I have.
Rest assured if it's still around I'll be in touch.
In the meantime I hope things pick up for you. Shame I don't need a fireplace!

If I had one I'd say if I didn't have one already I'd give you £30K. Get real children - there's only one way Tuscan prices are going and it ain't up!
I agree Tuscan prices are on the way down - as are prices for any other car, but a 2000 Tuscan with that spec/mileage is still worth C£25k.
You do see them advertised for more which isn't realistic and the odd cat D for less. All in all a bargain for whoever the lucky sod is that gets it.
Best of luck T
I agree, it looks a really nice car and well worth it for the money it's advertised at. Hopefully someone will pick it up to save Terry the worry.
However, recently there has been a number of similar cars sold for that sort of money:
W reg, 18k miles, stone chipped, new clutch 20.5k
X reg, 24k miles, 2003 engine rebuild, new clutch 22k
etc etc. If you consider that you can pick up a t350c with 3k miles for 32k then it makes 25k for an older Tuscan seem quite pricey.

edited to add: Griffith prices seem to be doing OK at the moment!!

What's a publc forum - do you mean a pubic forum? Sorry Freudian slip - i mean public forum.
Back to the topic - in a few days time a 2000 Tuscan will be four years old - What percentage of original cost is fair for a 4 year old car - 50%, 40% or what?
Any 2000 Tuscan that's had serious engine problems and that hasn't been fixed by fitting the latest spec engine has to have serious question marks over it. I'd say that even £20K in 2004 is too much for a top notch 2000 Tuscan never mind a dubious one.
Current Tuscan owners who say otherwise are not in the real world. Tuscans are no longer the king of current TVRs - they'll fall to about £12K before they steady and good ones rise on the classic market - it's not rocket science.

Pray tell, when are you excepting them to reach 12K? For that sort of money I'll buy another one in a lighter shade

Any idea's on when this is likely to happen? Or do your prophetic abilities not run to exact date's?
Perhaps I should wait until their giving them away with happy meal's

We can all dream
, just how long do you expect this dream to come to fruition then
.
IMHO I think, this side of a cat D or some such , you'll be waiting quiet a few years yet
.
Look at early griff prices, down to that sort of region then firmed up to £15K thats for a 10year old one to boot. These are not mondeos and never will be ffs.

Probabily because people don`t go on publc forums and slag them off![]()

As you responded to my comment, could you highlight a previous post of mine which 'slagged off' a Tuscan? I think you'll be hard pressed to do so as I'd drive one if I could fit the 3 of us in one! I just pointed out that another model was fairing better. It's all supply/demand and you'll notice by recent postings on both forums that the demand appears to for Griffith's at the moment.
