Finally got round to opening my post this morning from the previous fortnight, and discovered a letter from the DVLA advertising an aution in which T115 CAN was up for sale. As I had enquired about this 2 years ago, they thought I might be interested. Only trouble is the auction was last weekend - Bugger

Had a look on the web just now and was less pissed off when I saw how much it had been sold for......

£4100 !!!!

So those rumours of it falling into the hands of some Ford dealer on general allocation were rubbish - the DVLA had all along seen the potential (probably after enquiries from people like myself)and decided to bide their time until now.

ah, well funny you should say that because the best alternative, T11SCN is available right now! Send me an email (from my profile) if you're interested.

Mike.

Can you believe it? DVLA will flog a reg plate like T115CAN because it 'looks' like 'TUSCAN'. And if you space it to make it read that way, you get a bollocking off of plod - really annoys me! DVLA are guilty of promoting this - and make loads of money out of it at auctions - utter tw@ts, pardon my french.

You don't just end up with a bollocking – they'll take you to court quite possibly. More revenue.

Just found out that it was sold to a Tuscan owner for about £5,000 from a TVR dealer...

No, been too busy putting miles on the new car. May get chance to do a bit over the next few evenings as it has gone to have it's stone chips sorted out.
