Still grinning after having the roof off for the first time ever since buying the car! Freezing cold but worth the frost bite! One slight niggle though - after driving many miles with the roof off, it was time to put it back on...
Roof went on fine, but when it came to fitting the rear window, I could do one clip up easily, but the other clip just wouldn't do up! I could turn it about 15 degrees, but then it would go no further. With it not turned fully, the slightest touch would have it popping undone again. I have just ordered another clip from TVR because after an hour of trying to do it up it still won't work. Even trying to do it up with the window out didn't work. Anyone else experienced similar problems?

Are you sure that you have not got the screen a bit off centre? I had this problem when I had not got the screen high enough. Try and see if the catch works when you don't have the screen in at all and you can then tell if it a problem with the catch or the positioning of the window.

Part of the clip was bent - it is now as good as new!

The fastener on these catches are very poor, been a self tapping screw into fibre glass. I removed the screws and fitted allen key domed stainless steel nuts and bolts.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that the tuscan looks better with the roof on?

Mine hardly came off as I preferred it on, as it looked so much meaner.

Not really. The worst is when it is raining on a hot day, as you cant have the windows open. Then it does get a bit warm. I never had any serious heat probs though.

the air-con works well on the Tuscan so you can stay cool and see what is going on with the windows up and roof on.

My question was related to my on-going campaign to get the inside temp of my Griffith down to something tolerable! People say that the problem with the Griff is heat-soak from the engine dept. so I thought if this is true then the Tuscan should have the same problem after all it's got a 350bhp lump stuck well back half under the front bulkhead. It look like the problem with the Griff is that the outside (cold) air is directed to the cabin/heater matrix from inside the nearside wing, and once this gets very hot the air is pre-heated before it gets to the cabin. I guess for the Tuscan they have routed the air some other way? R...
