I've had a bit of flu recently and haven't driven the Tuscan for nearly three weeks and I've really missed it. Yesterday was my day off and up here in the Yorkshire Dales the morning was bright and pleasant. As luck would have it I needed to go to Harrogate, about 35 miles away to buy a few cases of wine for an exhibition preview I have coming up. One look at the sky and all thoughts of getting the Volvo out were banished. Out came the Tiv. Shades on, windows down and off we go.
I warmed her up nicely on the B roads before a short hop onto the A1 and then off again onto a great A road that runs parallel with it. It's a wide, NSL single carriageway with great visibility, long straights and sweeping bends and rarely a BIB to be seen. Oh the joy! Change up lights twinkling (I've got them set very low for any BIB reading this ), the noise, the feel of 360 BHP underneath your right foot. There are a few roundabouts but that just allows for plenty of exhaust popping on the overrun and a chance to get those change up lights twinkling again on the other side. This is why I bought the Tuscan.
All too soon I'm in Harrogate, four cases of wine and 48 glasses fitting easily into the boot, and then it's time to turn around and do it all in reverse. Fantastic.
In the afternoon I managed to find several other "important" reasons to go out for a drive.
I hope you'll forgive me for sharing this with you. After all the doom and gloom we read I personally find it reassuring that I can still get a lot of pleasure from something as simple as driving my car.

I don't know if you are aware but as neither King George I, II or III ever ruled Sweden that's an Oxymoron. Rich...
A bit unfair to call Oxy a moron but hey ho.
I'll tell you one thing about the mad King. He didn't half make a lot of furniture! I'm forever selling a George III this and a George III that. He must have been a hell of a cabinet maker.
