I have a flat in Surrey Quays and I've just found a top professional Valet service - takes around 15 minutes due to 4-5 people working simultaneously, car comes out immaculate, all for a fiver!

Just thought I'd mention it seeing as Mr.Winter is closing in! Let me know if any locals want some info.

Firstly get to Surrey Quays! Depends on how well you know the area, it's opposite Deptford Park on Evelyn Road (main road) see the map URL below.

www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=536443&y=178310&z=1&sv=536250,178250&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

Best to go on a Sunday afternoon as it's quiet and they do the best job then.

I'm there on Sunday's, I'll be in a GTS Blue Tuscan, normally around 5-6pm...they went crazy the first time I used them, seemed like they'd never seen one before!

I presume they don't use pressure hoses?

What do they use to clean down the bodywork?
I'm afraid I'm a bit twitchy about letting other people esp cleaning places clean my car as god knows waht products they use and how dirty the sponges are....

No pressure hoses, and nice clean shammy leathers all round...quality service trust me, and if you give a few quid extra they give the motor that extra shine!

Not sure, I only ever go on Sundays; I would have though so as they do commercial vehicles so during the week will probably be quite busy, I passed them this morning but didn't bother to look!

Just went down there for a quick once over - good service from the guys - they all know Chris and his GTS blue Tuscan!!

They were using pressure hoses, but happy to keep them below the waistline so no leaking windows and/or water under the bonnet.

Good value too - thanks Chris for posting this, they were grateful for the free advertising!

Off to the ACE Cafe this evening, so if you're going, better make sure your cars are shiny too!

cheers

Sean

Yeah if you just ask them to leave the pressure hoses or like you did just keep them below the window line it's fine...I normally ask for none at all as my windows leak like a !

You shouldn't let them use the pressure washer up inside the wheel arches according to the manual as it can flake off the black GRP coating in these areas.

I think it also falls off without too much help if there has been any dust on the surfaces when they were first sprayed (acc. to some goss in here).

Gary.

Just to update - I got a free valet from the guys yesterday, and they said they'll do discount prices for people who mention PistonHeads! Also they are up-to-date on the do's and don't of cleaning a TVR so don't worry about pressure washers blasting your motor apart!
