To kick start the idea I mentioned in another thread I have negotiated a deal with a local company and got my hands on a potentially very special prize for a photo competition.

Entrance is free, just send a photograph of your Tuscan (unedited please, no photoshop jockeys) to tuscanplanet@hotmail.com

The winner will be chosen sometime in December (to allow plenty of time for entries) by a voting system (no voting for you own car though) and the prizes will be as follows -

1st Prize - A framed and signed characature of your car, plus an A2 poster of your photograph, PLUS (yes there is more) a hand painted portrait of your car.

2nd Prize - A framed and signed characature of your car, plus an A2 poster of your photograph.

3rd Prize - A framed and signed characature of your car.

Hopefully this will kick start some interest in putting together the website. Fingers crossed!

Send the photographs to tuscanplanet@hotmail.com (a proper website and email address will be available soon, I'll edit this post when that happens)

Thanks, and good luck.

What's wrong with Photoshop? People have been 'doctoring' photographs since the beginning. I see P'Shop as a natural progression of the art. And yes it is an art, I should know I get paid for it.

I've got nothing against photoshop, far from it. I just wanted the competition to be about the natural beauty of the car.

Colour balance etc. is fine, I just don't want a load of over photoshoped images. You know the sort of thing I mean - A lovely picture of a Tuscan with a watercolour filter added to it !!!

Yes. YES.

I'm sure you see what I mean.

Do you have a larger image?

Thats lovely.

Why can't the Tuscan owners come up with something like that?

Again Photoshop doesn't need to be all filters, a simple b'grd drop to greyscale can add impact:

Thought you mind find this interesting, other than editing out the number plate and resizing it, here's the original image, all nasty and blue from shooting into the low winter sun:

Just shows how you can 'rescue' a shot with P'Shop.

I'm taking a comission on any copies of P'Shop sold to members of this forum.
