Been out in the nice weather over the last couple of days on dry roads and it won't take full bore in second. I've only done 4300 miles so far and the rears don't look anywhere near shot yet.

Is it the cold temps destroying the traction? Is it all about restraint and fustration until BST? Almost makes me hanker after 4wd again.

Look on the bright side though, the cold dense air means your car should make more power.

More power doesn't help if no grip!

Roof off?! In this weather while my heater is being pathetic?!

Hmm, I am going to get a laser alignment done once I get round to it, and I hope it will cure a bit of straightline wander I have, but I doubt it will help traction.

Anyway, thanks for trying to cheer me up guys.

Cold weather and roof off is no problem. A pair of thermal trousers, a coat, scarf and a cap who needs a heater Anyway the heater stops the oil getting hot.

the tuscan in later 4by4 ride height guise generates loads of traction but only if the ground is willing and you can get the load transfer working for you. if the ground is anything like slippy you're not going to generate the transfer and it'll spin it's wheels for sure. what you need is a rear suspension that's nice and soft so that even with limited tyre to ground hook up you can still get the back end squatting down - soft springs and adjustable dampers are your friends in poor weather .. oh and traction control too

Nah, I reckon TVR ought to do a version of T550 that is mid-engined and 4wd. That would sort out the traction without any electronic nonsense.

I noticed the difference in conditions last Sunday in my humble Griff. Lots of wheel spin that wasn't there a day or so earlier!

If you want to "down-grade" over the winter I'll happily do a swap to hone my skills a bit!!! (Wimps!!!! )

As a weather forcaster by trade I have been saving my limited mileage policy for some real fun. Its going to p84s down tomorrow so time to spark up the Tuscan.
Lovely.
Traction? Go away!
Lateral Grip? Better than my diesel Clio.
Wet roads means less arm movement.
Just tweak the steery thing and let Speed Six do the hard work.
If someone wants to prebook me for intensive care then you are making a mistake. You really don't want me to survive.

Oh! and does anyone out there know how to get the Tuscan to handbrake properly (steering assistance not slowing). Mine seems pish poor.
