whiff of smoke?

Once the car is at normal temp. Have experienced occasional whisp of smoke from the air vents !! A whisp of smoke came up from just under the bonnet in front of the screen as well a couple of times after she came back from 1k valve re-set following rebuild no.2.Though this has now stopped.

All else is perfect running, temp read outs, noise, power etc.

Had the car 'tuned' only recently at dealer and mentioned my concern they had a look and said they couldn't see anything untoward. Smell's quite acrid though.

I think it might have been the gasket sealant which was a bit messily applied on head, dropping off onto exhaust manifold and burning. ( if so the excess bits will heat up drop onto manifold, burn, short term and no problem)

Any thoughts?

yep, you are probably right in thinking it was excess sealant burning up on something hot. If your dealer has looked and cannot see anything and the smoke has gone then I guess it will be fine !
